Let’s Walk For our Children with Epilepsy!
Epilepsy Foundation is hosting their Let’s Walk For our
Children with Epilepsy! to raise money and awareness of epilepsy among our
children. Taking place in Lakeshore State
Park, 500 N Harbor DR, Milwaukee WI, on June 3rd, 2023.
Approximately 50 percent of Children with Epilepsy have some
form of learning difficulties. The type of learning problems ranges from subtle
effects that may go unrecognized but still impact brain performance to severe
disabilities in several areas of brain function. Epilepsy may also affect speech
and language, attention, and memory.
Epilepsy Foundation annual Let’s Walk For our Children
with Epilepsy! Helps thousands of children control their seizures making
every effort to help children reach their potential in school and at home.
Sign up at
EpilepsyFoundation.com/walkforchildren. The cost will be 50 dollars per family,
including a free T-shirt, one tumbler (adults only), and a small lunch. Registration
will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. After that our picnic
takes place in the picnic area, and lunches will be provided right about 12 p.m.
